We have spent a great amount of time and energy trying to organise a pleasant and scientifically successful event for every participant. On this page you will find information about contact persons in case problems are arising, child care, disability support and COVID information.
We are here to help!
If you are experiencing any problems (you decide what is a problem!), please feel free to contact any of the local organizers. We will try our best to help you.

Child care support
We work with the Family Service Office of University of Siegen and the local family alliance of Siegen (Familienbüro der Stadt Siegen) which will provide daycare services.
We will be able to provide this free of charge. The child care will be in a dedicated place and will be provided by professional child carers.
In order to properly organize this service, we need to be informed in advance, so please make sure to indicate this on the registration form.
The venue will also provide a quiet place for breastfeeding (although this will be welcome anywhere), equipped with an armchair, changing table, and bottle warmer.
Some of the social events, including the conference dinner, will provide a special menu for children.
Disability support
The conference venue is completely barrier-free and fully accessible to participants with reduced mobility. There are special places for wheelchair users in all lecture halls. In addition, the lecture halls are equipped with auxiliary systems for hearing loss.
Participants who need to bring in-person support, e.g. a sign language interpreter, are welcome to do so and we will register their support person free of charge, allowing access to all social events. Please indicate this on the registration form.
Participants requiring further support or with suggestions on how we can make the event more inclusive are encouraged to get in touch with the local organizers.
COVID-19 protection
We consider the health and safety of participants to be of the utmost importance. We are carefully monitoring the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The conference will follow all local health and safety requirements. The organizers are heavily involved to implement all the necessary measures to guarantee a safe and welcoming environment for all of the conference participants.
Details of the measures in place and steps to be taken by the participants will be communicated closer to the start of the conference.
This page will be updated regularly as the conference approaches according to the latest pandemic-related policy and regulations. The links below provide updated news about the COVID-19 situation in Germany and restrictions for travellers.
