The 56th edition of the Herbstschule HEP will take place at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef from Sept. 02. - 12. 2025. Information about previous editions will soon be available here.
General Information
This school addresses PhD students in experimental and theoretical particle physics in early stages of their careers and gives an overview of current developments in the field ranging from detector development to multi-loop calculations presented by international experts. The lectures in the morning will be accompanied by exercises in the afternoon. Depending on the interest and pre-eduction of the students one can choose between Calculating Feynman Diagrams, Loop corrections and Machine Learning. In addition the group coordinators work intensively with the students on the preparation of student talks covering the individual PhD projects. Finally there will be several evening lectures aimed to spark some deeper discussion about topics like the future of particle physics or exo-planets, but also a review of the long tradition of this school.
Participation is by invitation only. In case of questions, please contact: mlaach@physik.uni-siegen.de
The Herbstschule HEP is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Reseach (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF)).
