A Precise Determination of $\alpha_s$​ from the Heavy Jet Mass Distribution

I will present new results from a global fit for $alpha_s(m_Z)$ for available $e^+e^-$ data for the heavy jet mass distribution with center-of-mass energies between $35,{rm GeV}$ and $Q le 207$,GeV using state-of-the-art theory. The theory prediction includes the fixed-order prediction at $mathcal{O}(alpha_s^3)$, resummation of large dijet logarithms to N$^3$LL$^prime$, Sudakov shoulder resummation at NNLL and a first-principles treatment of power corrections in the dijet region. Correlations among the theory uncertainties are incorporated through a flat random scan covariance matrix. In addition, we present evidence for a negative power correction in the trijet region only when Sudakov shoulder resummation is included.
