DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Stefan Krieg (Forschungszentrum\, Jülich)\n\nI will
present the exascale system JUPITER of Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC
)\, the first exascale system in Europe. A joint European and German effor
t\, JUPITER provides computing resources to the diverse European and Germa
n scientific communities. After a brief introduction into HPC also for HEP
\, I will discuss the development of the project and describe the system a
rchitecture and performance. By providing over one exaflop\, JUPITER incre
ased the resources of the JSC by about a factor of twelve. Such an abrupt
increase poses a challenge to the user communities to adapt their software
suites to take full advantage of JUPITER. I will briefly outline JSC's ap
proach to support the user communities in their efforts. Finally\, I will
present several other architectures deployed or planned at JSC\, ranging f
rom quantum computing or analog computers to neuromorphic architectures.\n
