Manipulating the character and shape of quantum light

Gaining a full control over the quantum state and the mode structure of nonclassical light is among the major challenges in the path of future quantum technologies. In this talk, I will present an overview of experimental results towards the controlled, photon-by-photon, generation and manipulation of ultrashort quantum light pulses of arbitrary spectrotemporal shapes.
