Description
CP-violation (CPV) is one of the necessary conditions to explain the observed baryon-asymmetry of the universe (BAU). However, the strength of CPV encoded in the Standard Model via the complex phase in the CKM matrix is insufficient to describe the magnitude of the BAU. Hence, it is instructive to search for new sources of CPV. Such sources may be present in the Higgs boson couplings to gauge boson and fermions. The presentation will summarize the status of tests of CP invariance in Higgs-boson production and decay performed at the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider.
