Description

The MiNNLOPS method is a framework that matches fixed-order computations at next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD with parton shower simulations. In this talk I will review the original derivation of MiNNLOPS for colour-singlet production starting from transverse-momentum resummation, and I will then focus on the new formulation of the method that uses jettiness as resummation variable. I will present phenomenological results for Drell-Yan and Higgs-boson production obtained from 0-jettiness resummation, showing similarities and discrepancies with the original formulation of the method. To conclude, I will discuss the formalism needed to extend this implementation to colour-singlet plus jet processes through 1-jettiness resummation.
